Michael J. Lessel is a principal of Community Development Group (CDG Partners) with nearly 40 years of development, construction, brokerage, and asset management experience.
Development and operating leadership
Mr. Lessel supervises many of CDG's development and operational activities, drawing on experience across the full real estate lifecycle.
His background includes development, construction, commercial brokerage, and asset management for major corporate and institutional users.
Corporate and industrial experience
Mr. Lessel developed Frito-Lay's national build-to-suit industrial development program and represented major corporations, including The Walt Disney Company and PepsiCo, in more than 400 commercial and industrial transactions.
At Cushman Realty Corporation, now known as Cushman & Wakefield, he was responsible for domestic and international development and construction activities.
Military service and education
A veteran of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mr. Lessel served for three years as the senior military social aide to President and Mrs. Ronald Reagan.
He holds an MBA from Stanford University and a BS in Engineering and Economics from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
