R. David Kelly is a principal of Community Development Group (CDG Partners) with nearly 40 years of experience in real estate, capital markets, public finance, governance, and strategic planning.
Real estate and capital markets leadership
Mr. Kelly has overseen more than $50 billion in financial transactions and developed $3.5 billion in real estate, including $400 million in public-private partnerships.
His work combines development experience with capital markets strategy for complex public and private initiatives.
Governance and board service
Mr. Kelly served as chairman of the Texas Public Finance Authority from 2002 to 2006 and chairman of the Teacher Retirement System of Texas from 2009 to 2017. He currently serves as a trustee for the Dallas Police & Fire Pension System.
In the private sector, he is a lead independent director of TCW Direct Lending and a director of The Invesco REIT and Ashton Woods Homes.
Education
Mr. Kelly holds an MBA from Stanford University and a BA in Economics from Harvard University, where he was a John Harvard Scholar.
